For most guests, winter begins with the first run down the slope.

For us at Dzvin-Ski, it begins much earlier. While there is still only a light frost outside the window, we open up the service workshop, inspect every pair of skis, refresh the wax, polish the edges and prepare everything so that nothing unexpected can happen on the slope.

We have been in the business for more than 20 years and we know one thing for sure: comfortable skiing does not start on the piste, but at the moment you pick up gear that has been properly prepared. That is why every pair of skis or snowboard that leaves our workshop goes through a full service cycle — from cleaning to precise binding adjustment.

Our equipment preparation system

At Dzvin-Ski we have built our own service system that guarantees the same quality for every customer.

End-of-season maintenance.
Once the season is over, we inspect every pair of skis and snowboards. When needed, we refurbish the edges, replace the base or the bindings. This way the gear keeps its performance and stays stable on the piste.

Pre-rental preparation.
Before a set is handed over to a customer, we apply wax, check the bindings and the wear of the running surface. Everything is tuned for the specific conditions of Bukovel, because dry frost, wet snow and spring slush all call for a different approach.

Daily maintenance.
After every day on the slopes, gear is washed, dried, and bolts and bindings are checked. We even take care of small scratches so that the next day the customer receives a set in flawless condition.

Precision in the details: binding adjustment

Every pair of skis is set up individually — we take into account the customer’s height, weight, skill level and skiing style.
These parameters determine the release force of the bindings, which in turn affects comfort and safety on the slope.
We use specialised equipment to check the accuracy of the settings so that the skis respond predictably and remain stable on any kind of snow.

Comfort starts with the boots

Boot comfort is half the pleasure of skiing.
At Dzvin-Ski we use temperature-controlled drying chambers that remove moisture without deforming the inner structure of the boot.
Every pair is disinfected and inspected before being handed over.

Our technicians help select the optimal size and shape: the boot should fit snugly around the foot without squeezing it. When the foot is in the right position, control over the skis becomes precise and skiing feels light and natural.

The engineering of speed: wax, edges, structure

We pay particular attention to the preparation of the gliding surface of skis and snowboards.
Before being handed over, every set is cleaned, ground and treated with a protective wax that improves glide on the snow and extends the lifespan of the equipment.
The edges are restored and polished so that the skis hold their line well and behave confidently in any conditions.

Snowboards: checking flex and geometry

The snowboards in our rental fleet undergo regular checks for flex and stability.
We assess how the board reacts under load, in order to preserve the right balance between stiffness for control and flex for a comfortable ride.

We set the bindings at the optimal stance angles — symmetric for beginners or with a slight rearward shift for experienced riders.
This approach ensures that the board stays stable at any speed and gives confident control on different types of snow.

We prepare gear the same way we prepare it for ourselves

Every pair of skis or board that leaves our workshop goes through the same procedure that we apply to our own gear.
We check the base, the structure, the binding tension, and we carry out a final cleaning.

Our philosophy is simple: the gear we hand over to customers must work flawlessly. Otherwise it will not leave our warehouse.

Safety is not a slogan, it is a daily practice

We watch the condition of every detail closely.
Before the season starts, we carry out a full technical inspection of the equipment — we check bindings, springs, boots and every mechanical part so that each set is fully ready for the slopes.
Anything that shows even minor wear is taken out of circulation.
